Action step 1:
The moment you wake up choose to be positive and decide to remain optimistic and determined the rest of the day. Most people don’t realize that everyday when you wake up you have a choice. You decide what will make you angry or upset or what you will let affect you that particular day. It is a choice. It is YOUR choice and your choice alone. The minute you wake up you choose your attitude for that entire day. Be very careful about that choice because your outlook on life and attitude for that rest of the day is decided in that single moment.
Action step 2:
Be encouraging, uplifting and supportive to others. You will reduce many problems just by being in support of other people. You will minimize personal conflict, tension, and misunderstanding simply by being encouraging to those around you. Being an uplifting person can entirely transform your daily environment, as well as the daily environment of your family, friends, and coworkers. Many people are seeking acceptance from their loved ones and peers; therefore, encouraging those around you will draw you closer together, and in the process you help one another succeed and accomplish your personal and work plans, goals, and dreams.
Action step 3:
Each day be sure to do something you do not particularly enjoy doing, but something that is part of life that has to get done, or just anything that challenges you. If you make a point to do this everyday, before you know it, you will be stretching yourself and learning to embrace challenge optimistically. Doing this will help you to grow and learn in many ways you had not expected or considered before. This may open doors to new possibilities or maybe even new opportunities in your life.
Action step 4:
Before you go to sleep at night, reflect on your day. First, think of the things that you may not have done well or that you could have done better. Think about what you plan to do better or change for the next day. Then after you feel you have reflected enough on that, think of all the things that went well, all the positive, good things that transpired that day, and the good things you look forward to for the next day.
